So, we're Teresa & Hannah...
...and together we're a mother-daughter duo on a mission to support fellow fighters
have a life with less stress and more energy. If that sounds like the life you want despite
having chronic pain and fatigue, you're in the right place.
Teresa is a certified dietary manager and wellness coach with a focus on using food as fuel to combat low energy as well as guiding individuals in making healthy lifestyle choices that will last. She has expertise in developing therapeutic meal plans related to managing chronic conditions, including fibromyalgia.
As a busy mom working full-time, Teresa was the definition of burning the candle at both ends. The diagnosis of fibro was not welcomed initially but led to taking a serious look at her daily habits. She began with one small change leading to positive results (more energy, less stress!). Now, Teresa guides others to do the same.
Hannah is an occupational therapist with a focus on mastering pain management strategies to be able to spend time and energy doing the things that matter (with those that matter most!). She has clinical experience working with individuals with chronic pain from ages 11 to 90+.
Diagnosed with fibromyalgia just before her 13th birthday, Hannah spent years creating the “recipe” that worked to manage her pain and fatigue. Growing up with fibro, Hannah missed out on many "normal" life events. As a result, she has made it her mission to support others who suffer from chronic pain as they develop their own recipe and get back to living.
But if you would have told us a few years ago (when we were experiencing flares that lasted weeks or months!) that days without debilitating pain were possible, we might not have believed you. Hey, we're just being honest.
Fight Against Fibro is a community for pain and fatigue warriors that provides encouragement as well as practical strategies from people who have been where you are combined with experience guiding others like you through it.
Sometimes the truth hurts
We need to be honest with you... we still have flare days when fibromyalgia reminds us, "HEY! I'm still here!"
Exhibit A: The aftermath of this momentous day!
